• This is the fast, most efficient service between the Calgary Airport or your Calgary Hotel and any address in Waterton National Park.
• The distance is about 300 km's (171 miles).
• It is great for small groups.
• The service takes about 3 to 4 hours with one coffee stop and is subject to good road/weather conditions.
• A uniformed driver will meet you in the luggage claim area of your domestic airline OR for International Arrivals in the terminal at the exit from Canada Customs "by the horses". The driver will assist you with your luggage to the vehicle.
• Because you have "charter" the trip, we wait for late flights with no additional "wait-time" charge
• The charter rates includes:
  • Calgary Airport Authority Airport Exit/Parking/Pickup Fees (Varies depending on equipment)
  • Waterton Park's Van Entrance/Business Tax $10.00.

• National Park's "User" fee of $7.80/head/day or less for each day you are in Waterton National Park. A user day is until 4PM the next or following day and the user fee is payable upon entering Waterton National Park. The fee is good until 31 March 2013.

*NO DEPOSIT is required but a credit card guarantee is due upon confirmation. The credit card charge is put through on the day before of the service in Canada in Canadian Funds. If your flight is late we wait with no additional wait-time charge. If your flight gets cancelled (and this happens a number of times each year), you miss-connect or are stuck in Canada Customs please pickup the phone or email us and advise us immediately. Hopefully you can also advise us of your new arrival time, date, airline and flight number. Failure to advise us of changes prior to the original pickup time will result in the billing of the trip. In the unlikely event you must cancel a 72 hour advance cancellation notice is required or you will be billed for the service as this is when the driver and vehicle are assigned. Poor weather and/or road conditions can close the Waterton Lakes Road a number of times during the year. Any extra accommodation expense, waiting for the road to open or en route, is paid for by the client. Please give yourself enough time for the transfer and airline check-in!

Glacier Park Inc operates the "East Side Shuttle" between Glacier Park Lodge (USA) and the Prince Of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park (Canada). The service is usually the same every year. For details on times/rates from this and other hotels, please"click-here"! i.e. The cost between Glacier Park Hotel, by the East Glacier Amtrak Station, and Waterton is approximately USD50.00 per person each way. The shuttle departs once daily at 11:00 hrs from the Glacier Park Lodge TO Waterton. You must travel round trip. This information is "subject to change".

If you are going one-way between Montana and Waterton you would take the "East Side Shuttle" to the Chief Mountain Border Crossing. You would make advance arrangements with the Canadian Chief Mountain Shuttle to pick you up at the Canadian side of the border and take you to Waterton Park. Consider us when your car rental company does not permit a one way rental; when you require service to/from Amtrak, when you can not find a schedule bus, train or plane service between Montana and Alberta or are combining a Montana vacation with the Canadian Rockies!

Year-round charter van service is offered between Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise and most locations in Montana. Airport Shuttle Express can take you one-way OR round-trip. We can also pickup in the United States and bring you to Canada.

Your Alternative!

Yes, you could fly between Calgary and Montana via Seattle or Denver. Yes, you could take the bus via Vancouver, Seattle, Spokane, to Southern Montana at Missoula/Butte (1 Day,18 Hours,15 Minutes Calgary to Butte) and then take a bus to Northern Montana or you can use us!

Airport Shuttle Express will pick you up at your location and take you to your destination!

How long does it take?

It is a long way! The border is about 3 1/2 hours between Calgary and the Montana USA/Alberta Canada border. There will be coffee stop(s) and a border wait time. (quick, to over an hour!). You still have to add the travel time to your destination in either Montana or Alberta.i.e. From Calgary ....Kalispell, Whitefish, Glacier International Airport are about 6-7 hours, around 460 KMS (285 miles)! From Calgary.....Great Falls is about 6 1/2 hours, around 525 km's (326 miles)! From Calgary.....East Glacier is 4-5 hours, around 381 KMS (237 miles)!

PASSENGERS WANTED! SHARE A RIDE!

Many ask us if they could "share a ride". If the other party says yes then a new lower rate is given. However, should one party decides to cancel then the original rate would apply! Please email us your proposed travel dates and we will advise if we have any other party traveling. The following may be "some" of the dates for "share-ride or "ride-share". Please note we offer this service YEAR-ROUND, subject to road/weather conditions as well as border open times.

The earlier you book gives you a better chance of us finding others who want to "ride-share" or "share-a-ride"! Ride-Share dates and times are subject to change.

How much is it!

To obtain a van quote know where you are starting at and where you will be ending up! Glacier National Park does not help us to give you an accurate quote as our rates could be over $150.00 difference depending where in the Park are you going. Make sure you add Montana as there is a Canadian Glacier National Park in British Columbia. Charter van prices can vary depending on your destination, travel date and departure times, season and whether you are touring or going 'point to point.

Email us with your dates, flight or train details, number in party and destination in Glacier National Park for a quote or for reservations.

* Goods and Service Tax (GST) applies for ALL transborder services! **Van Charter rate is based on ONE person/group paying for the complete charter (a five passenger van). ***Share-Ride rates are per person based on two or more groups booking with at least four (4) paying passengers going to the same location. If there is more passenger we usually add larger equipment. A higher price may apply if there are less than the four paying passengers or going to different locations (the highest destination ride-share rate applies i.e one party going to East Glacier, the other to Kalispell, the Kalispell ride-share rate may apply for everyone which is still cheaper than the regular rate.) If a party with "share-ride" cancels then the regular charter rate would apply unless another party can be found!

US Customs Van Clearance Fee is included. If applicable, Calgary Airport Authority Exit/Parking/Pickup fee of $29.49, if the pickup is at the Calgary Airport, We can pickup anywhere in Calgary.Glacier National Park Admission Fees & Waterton National Park Admission Fees.
TERMS/CONDITIONS:

If arriving in Calgary by air we wait for late flights, at no additional wait-time fee and will travel anytime, subject to road/weather/wind conditions as well as border open times. If your flight gets cancelled or miss-connect we need to know this prior to your original arrival time or you will be billed for the service. Hopefully you can advise us of your new arrival time, flight, airline and date.
RESERVE THE RIGHT:
Airport Shuttle Express reserves the right, that is the driver, to open and check all luggage, including carry-ons! We reserve the right to ask for, and the driver keeps to the border, all documentation i.e. passports or other travel documents.
SHARE A RIDE:

REFUSAL AT THE BORDER:
In the unlikely event you are refused admission to the United States OR Canada Airport Shuttle Express will drive you back to the first border town, not the starting point, as the driver may have other commitments. Usually it if very difficult to get out of these town on public transit! There would be no refunds on the amount paid for the trip.
United States / Canadian Bound Clients
Your passport/border/travel documents for the border crossing has to be faxed to us three days prior to the service so we can forward the information on our manifest to US Customs/Immigration or Canadian Customs. This includes information on your full name, birth date, nationality, passport number, date passport was Issued and date the passport expires.
Price Change:
If you are booked, and IF there is a price increase, we honour the old price of your trip. If you have not booked, and there is a price increase, you will be billed for the new rate. Increase in taxes & custom fees are excluded.
"Direct" transfers
If the one way "driving" trip is over five hours, a driver's meal allowance and overnight hotel expense may also apply as the driver can not make it back to their starting point due to their "duty day" driving hours. This extra cost is paid by the client. Most Glacier locations on the Eastern Slopes do not require any driver's overnight; the Western Slope may or may not depending on your destination.
Touring transfers:
You may wish to consider "touring" as your one-way trip has a number of attractions/heritage stops en route. Should you wish to "tour" the driver's overnight hotel, either pre or post, and meal allowance plus extra wages will apply. In most touring cases we do not charge you an additional day rental for the van returning ("deadheading") to Calgary.
National Holiday Surcharge
Dates on Canadian National Holidays may result in a surcharge.
Advance Hotel Reservations
If USA bound please make your Glacier Park, Kalispell and/or Whitefish hotel reservations prior to leaving Canada. With our driver's time restraints we can not spend time driving around trying to find hotel accommodation in these popular summer/winter areas where most properties are "sold out", especial during Canadian/USA Holidays. This also applies in Calgary during July's " Stampede!"*

Amtrak, Rocky Mountaineer Rail Tours and Via Rail Canada

Airport Shuttle Express operates "charter vans" between any of Montana's Amtrak Station and Calgary or Banff. The closest Amtrak station to Calgary is East Glacier or Browning while Whitefish is the closest station to Banff. The Amtrak train is the "Empire Builder" which heads East to Chicago in the morning and West to either Portland or Seattle in the evening. In Seattle there is a daily AMTRAK rail service or a seasonal Rocky Mountaineer Rail Tours train North to Vancouver, BC. Make sure Amtrak's Montana Station is open...and the train stops...for the dates required. i.e. Browning station is open 06 Oct 2013 to 30 April 2014. East Glacier station closes 05 Oct 2013 and reopens on 01 May 2014. There is also some "flag" stops. Please check with Amtrak for details.

CAR RENTAL!

"NO" is usually the answer for one-way car rentals if travelling between Alberta and Montana OR Montana and Alberta. With advance reservations you can usually rent a car in Canada, take it into the United States and return it to Canada. The same applies when renting in the United States. You can rent a car in the United States, bring it into Canada and return it to the United States. However, the word is usually "NO" when you wish a one way rental! If you are a Canadian - Please check with the car rental company about taking USA Cars into Canada from Montana. In most cases the car company says "No"!
