Airporter Shuttle Express Charter Terms/Conditions -

• *A credit card guarantee is due upon confirmation.
• The actual credit card charge is put through on the day of the service in Canadian Funds although some exceptions may apply.
• If your flight is late we wait with no additional wait-time charge.
• If your flight gets cancelled (and this happens a number of times each year) please pickup the phone and advise us immediately.
• Hopefully you can also advise us of your new arrival time, date, airline and flight number.
• Failure to advise us of changes prior to the original pickup time will result in the billing of the trip.
• In the unlikely event you must cancel a 72 hour advance cancellation notice is required or you will be billed for the service as this is when the driver and vehicle are assigned.
• Poor weather and/or road conditions can close the Waterton Lakes Road a number of times during the year.
• Any extra accommodation expense, waiting for the road to open or en route, is paid for by the client.
• Please give yourself enough time for the transfer and airline check-in!

Glacier Park Transport operates the "East Side Shuttle" between Glacier Park Lodge and the Prince Of Wales Hotel in Waterton National Park (Canada). For details on times/rates from this and other hotels, please"click-here".i.e. The cost between Glacier Park Hotel, by the East Glacier Amtrak Station, and Waterton is USD50.00 per person. The shuttle departs once daily at 11:00 hrs from the Glacier Park Lodge TO Waterton. This information is "subject to change and error".

Consider us when your car rental company does not permit a one way rental; when you require service to/from Amtrak, when you can not find a schedule bus or plane service between Montana and Alberta or are combining a Montana Vacation with the Canadian Rockies!

Airport Shuttle Express is fully licensed and insured to offer trans-border service.

We offers year-round charter van service between the Calgary International Airport and most locations in Montana. We also offer this service from downtown Calgary, Banff and Lake Louise. We can take you one-way OR round-trip.

Airport Shuttle Express can also pickup in the United States and bring you to Canada!.

We can not do transfers within the United States but can suggest reliable United States Companies to do so.

How long does it take?

• It is a long way!
• The border is about 3 1/2 hours, one way, between Calgary and the Montana USA/Alberta Canadian border.
• There will be coffee stop(s) and a border wait time. ("quick" to over an hour!)
• You still have to add the travel time to your destination in either Montana or Alberta.
• i.e.
  • From Calgary ....Kalispell and Great Falls are about 7-8 hours
  • From Calgary.....East Glacier is 4-5 hours, around 381 KMS (237 miles)!

From Alberta our charter van service includes many Montana destinations such as Browning, Columbia Falls, East Glacier, Essex, Glacier International Airport (FCA), Glacier National Park, Great Falls Airport (GTF), Kalispell, Shelby, Whitefish and any Amtrak Station. We can also suggest connections to Billings, Helena or Missoula. Email us for suggestions.

From Montana our Alberta destinations include Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise and most other locations within Alberta.

Charter van prices can vary depending on your destination, travel date and departure times, season and whether you are touring or going 'point to point.'

How much is it!

To obtain a van quote know where you are starting at and where you will be ending up! Glacier National Park does not help us to give you an accurate quote. Make sure you add Montana as there is a Canadian Glacier National Park in British Columbia.

Possible Extra Charges/Terms/Conditions:

• A tip to the driver.
• 5% Canadian Goods and Service Tax (GST)
• Custom's Fees: US Customs/Immigration processing fee of USD$10.75 per vehicle plus $USD6.00/head is payable by the client for those heading into the United States to US Customs.
• Currently Canada Customs/Immigration does not have any processing fees
• Currency. All transactions are billed in Canada in Canadian Funds.
• Fares are quoted in Canadian Funds, which value is about 5% less than the US Dollar (06 Feb. 2010)!

• - Glacier Park Commercial Transportation Admission Fee, should your routing/hotel be in Glacier National Park USA and we take you over the "Going to the Sun" highway Exceptions do apply i.e. USD12.00/head for a 7 day pass if staying at Lake MacDonald Lodge and we bring you in from the West! These fees are payable at the Park's Entrance by the client.
• Terms/Conditions; Upon confirmation a credit card guarantee is required. No deposit required. The credit card charge is put thru on the day before the service. In the unlikely event you must cancel, a three day advance cancellation notice is required or you will be billed for the service as this is when the driver/van are assigned. If your flight is late, we wait at no additional wait-time charge. If your flight gets cancelled, please pickup the phone and advise us. Hopefully you can advise us of your new arrival time, flight number and airline. Failure to advise prior to the original pickup time will result in the billing of the trip. We quote "direct" one way transfers with brief coffee stops.
• Other Information:
• US Bound Clients: Your passport/border crossing information has to be faxed to us two days prior to the service so we can also forward the manifest information to US Customs/Immigration.
• Reserves The Right, Luggage & Carry-on's: On trans border service (to Canada OR the United States) Airport Shuttle Express reserves the right to open and check all luggage prior to leaving, including carry-on.
• We reserve the right to ask for, and the driver keeps to the border, all documentation i.e. passports.

• Border Crossing Rejection - Should the client be rejected at the border crossing, no refunds are given. The driver will try to return the client to the first border town, not to the pickup location, as the driver may have other commitments. Most Alberta/Montana border towns do not have public schedule transportation which will make it difficult to get out of these towns. A rejection will also inconvenient other customers if on a 'shared-ride. If you know you could have possible border crossing problems, don't travel with us, please fly!
• "Direct" transfers: If the one way "driving" trip is over five hours, a driver's meal allowance and overnight hotel expense would also apply as the driver can not make it back to their starting point due to their "duty day" driving hours. This extra cost is paid by the client. Most Glacier locations on the Eastern Slopes do not require any driver's overnight; the Western Slope may or may not depending on your destination.
• Touring transfers: You may wish to consider "touring" as your one-way trip has a number of attractions/heritage stops en route. Should you wish to "tour" the driver's overnight hotel, either pre or post, and meal allowance plus extra wages will apply. In most touring cases we do not charge you an additional day rental for the van returning ("deadheading") to Calgary.

• National Holiday Surcharge: Dates on Canadian National Holidays may result in a surcharge.
• Arrival/Departure flights may either require a Calgary overnight before/after the trip due to border Customs closures.
• If we have to drive an extended distance due to border customs closures an increase in costs applies!
• Advance Hotel Reservations: If USA bound please make your Glacier Park, Kalispell and/or Whitefish hotel reservations prior to leaving Canada. With our driver's time restraints we can not spend time driving around trying to find hotel accommodation in these popular summer/winter areas where most properties are "sold out", especial during Canadian/USA Holidays OR in Calgary during July's " Stampede!"

SHARE A RIDE!

Many ask us if they could "share a ride". If the other party says yes then a new lower rate is given. However, should one party decides to cancel then the original rate would apply! AMTRAK CLIENTS

Amtrak's "Empire Builder" stops at a number of towns in Northern Montana. Make sure the Amtrak station is open...and the train stops...for the dates required. i.e. Browning station is open 03 Oct 2009 to 30 April 2010. East Glacier station closes on 02 Oct 2009 and reopens 01 May 2010. Check with Amtrak for details. Top/Home

CAR RENTAL CLIENTS.

• Montana - We can pick you up or drop you at any car rental location in Montana. The closest is East Glacier with two companies. Others are in Kalispell, Whitefish or Glacier International Airport. We have many clients using our trans border service who are heading one way to Yellowstone or Salt Lake City or further into the United States and from those locations to Canada.
• Calgary. Renting/returning a car rental in Calgary. SAVE the Calgary Airport Authority Shuttle Pickup Charge (usually around CAD$25.00) by having us pick you up/drop at ANY Calgary Hotel. You may also save on extra airport fees by renting your car at an "off airport" location! i.e.

  • When you pickup your rent a car at the Calgary Airport the "Concession Recovery Fee" of 15.61% is payable. You can avoid paying this if you are picking up a car at an off airport location! Yes, you still have the "Energy Recovery Fee", "the Goods and Service Tax", "the Air Condition Excise Tax" and "the Customer Facility Charge" before you are introduced to the car rentals different insurance plans!
